Honey Pot is situated on the ground floor (Level 1) in Edinburgh Internatinal Climbing Arena (EICA), Ratho. We're very proud to be the only arts & crafts concession within an Edinburgh Leisure centre, especially as the EICA is so great for families.
Next time you come to Honey Pot, why not spend the day at the EICA? There's so much to do...
A hugely popular soft play, Scrambles is next door to the Honey Pot studio. There's plenty for babies, toddlers and children up to 10 years old to get their fair share of thrills and treats. There’s a giant play area for babies; a toddler zone; and play frames for children from 2-10, where they can explore, swing, climb or slide away all their excess energy. And there’s also a café where they can refuel! More info...
Clip 'n Climb (for ages 4+)
The latest family attraction to come to EICA is the Clip 'n Climb wall. In fact, it's the first for Scotland! There's cleverly designed climbing challenges - 15 in total - and it's suitable for adults and children. It's just across the way from the Honey Pot studio. More info...
Every Thursday from 10.30am - 11.15am, Party Room on Level 3 of EICA is taken over by Giggles the Monkey and his Boogie Beat class. All Honey Pot customers receive one free Boogie Beat class when you sign up for six.
Also Boogie Beat customers receive 10% off all Honey Pot activities (with the exception of silver work and messy play).
Boogie Beat classes are great fun for pre-school children from 6 months to 5 years. Based on traditional nursery rhymes and classical fairy tales, combined with a lively and active dance twist! Themes include Jack and the Beanstalk, Goldilocks and Billy Goats Gruff. More info...
Picnics in the quarry
Bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the quarry. There are picnic benches, along with plenty of space to lay blankets. Alternatively there are benches outside the front of the building overlooking the woods.
Honey Pot Arts & Crafts Studio
At Honey Pot we offer fun for all the family. Babies that are less than a week old have visited the studio to have their prints taken, and grandparents love to bring the kids in the holidays.
We serve tea, coffee and a selection of cakes from the studio kitchen.
Looking for lunch?
We can provide afternoon tea or lunches for parties. However if you're visiting the EICA on a family day out, the cafe on Level 3 serves a selection of hot food, salads, sandwiches and soup.
